February 8, 2023 is Sterile Packaging Day. The day was started by the SPMC (Sterile Packaging Manufacturers Council) to honor and thank their supply chain partners. This year’s theme is “Designed to Protect.” In honor of Sterile Packaging Day, QTS employees were treated to lunch.
Our Engineering Team would like to wish you a Happy Sterile Packaging Day!
Director of Engineering Jason Lubs explains how QTS lives out that theme in our work:
“For QTS, ‘Designed to Protect’ is our promise to our customers [the OEMs] their customers [the physicians/surgeons] and their customers [the patient/our loved ones] that the product has been designed, tested, built and distributed with the highest level of rigor and quality to ensure it is safe to use.
‘Designed to Protect’ is not achieved by a single person or function. At QTS our entire team makes this happen:
• Our Engineers & Scientists work with our customers to ensure the design inputs and requirements are documented, met and verified through robust validations.
• Our Supply chain team ensures we have adequate inventory of materials to meet our customer’s demand
• Our Quality team ensures the materials used to build and package the product are conforming and meet specifications
• Our Warehouse, Material Handlers and Stagers make sure the specified materials are handled safely and ready for production
• Our Engineers ensure the MPs/Work instructions are clearly written and that proper training is provided to the production team
• Our Amazing Production Team continually builds, packages and labels the product with the highest level of quality
• Our Shipping team, handles the packaged product and coordinates the delivery to our sterilizers and customers
• Our Business teams provide the integration and support to meet and exceed customer expectations.
Thanks to all of your commitment to quality and patient safety!”
