Cretex Companies Rallies for Communities in Annual Cares-A-Thon
Each June, our teams across the country unite for the Cretex Cares-A-Thon, a month-long celebration of service, generosity, and community support.

Throughout the month of June, over 250 Cretex Cares volunteers positively impacted people in our local communities.
Every June, Cretex Companies proudly hosts our annual Cretex Cares-A-Thon, a companywide initiative that encourages employees to support their local communities through volunteer work, donations, and service projects. This year, our teams across Cretex Medical, QTS, rms, CDT, and Cretex Corporate showed up in a big way — coming together to support dozens of nonprofit organizations and community programs.
From food shelves and housing shelters to education and animal welfare, our employees embraced the opportunity to give back with compassion and creativity.
Thank you to everyone who participated and helped make our 4th annual Cretex Cares-A-Thon a success! Throughout the month of June, over 250 Cretex Cares volunteers positively impacted people in our local communities.
Here are the organizations we were able to positively impact this year:
We started Cares-A-Thon off strong by packing 400 MATTERboxes at our CDT Dassel location. Thank you to our 25 volunteers who assisted in assembling these resource boxes and to MATTER for helping to launch projects that improve communities!
Both rms locations at Coon Rapids and Anoka hosted 3 snack kit packing sessions for the Anoka County Brotherhood Council. In total, we packed 500 of these kits, which translates to 535 pounds of food donated! Thank you to all who assisted in packing these kits!
Attendees at our Cretex Medical Conference took some time to help out our Minneapolis community by putting together footcare packs and hygiene packs for Good in the ‘Hood. In total, we assembled 480 footcare packs and 720 hygiene packs. These packs will go to those in the city who are experiencing homelessness.
Employees from rms Coon Rapids, QTS Bloomington, and other locations packed, sealed and boxed a total of 22,896 meals for Feed My Starving Children during two separate sessions at the Coon Rapids and Chanhassen locations! Many thanks to all our volunteers and to Feed My Starving Children for providing children with nourishment worldwide.
Employees from different divisions paid a visit to Second Harvest Heartland in Brooklyn Park for a food packing and sorting session. Here, we packed 129 bags of potatoes, which translates to 5,232 pounds of food or 4,360 meals! We are grateful to those who volunteered and to Second Harvest Heartland for providing our community with affordable food options.
As part of an annual tradition, employees from the Elk River office led a volunteer visit to Orono Cemetery. The team spent the afternoon carefully cleaning gravestones and clearing away overgrown grass and debris. Their thoughtful efforts were a meaningful way to honor and preserve the resting place of those who came before us.
Over at our Brooklyn Park shoe drive, we greatly surpassed our initial goal of collecting 100 pairs of shoes by bringing in a whopping 312 pairs for Good in the ‘Hood, a Minneapolis non-profit that brings dignity and care to local families in need. Every pair represents a step toward hope, comfort, and community.
Our Cretex Specialty Products team in Waukesha, WI ran a donation drive from June 16-20 for the Pewaukee Food Pantry just down the road. A total of five employees were able to bring in 45 pounds of food! Thank you to all who donated!
